The Funktion Fiber Flex Carbon Composite Fin is part of the FCSII K2 TWIN KEEL FIN series. The base of the fin is made of nylon material with a UV-resistant mix that includes 31.3% fiberglass fiber and 6% carbon composite material. This creates a mold that is somewhat soft and slow-flexing towards the tip.

In order to maintain a linear and stable flex characteristic, the material composition has been hybridized. Without increasing the overall mass (thickness and size), the carbon composite content has been set at 6% of the total. This results in a slightly stiffer flex pattern that is very controllable and easy to use, from advanced to beginner surfers.

The Funktion glass flex fin system takes advantage of the inherent properties of nylon and fiberglass to provide a high-quality product. In testing by Modex Hawaii riders and consumers, this fin outperformed PC core fins in waves below head-high.
